6 month Shots

Korbyn had his 6 months check-up and shots on the 24th. He did REALLY GOOD...i was very suprised. He was in a good mood the whole time we were there and then when it came down to getting his shots....he didnt even cry!!! He just flinched a little but not even one sound came out of his mouth or tear out of his eye!

He weighed 23 lbs...which is about 5 ounces less then what he was weighed at WIC 2 weeks ago (he has been rolling over a lot) and was 28 inches long. Dr. Lane said he is one of the biggest 6 month old babies he has ever seen! Thats my boy! :)

Then Grandma Lynn and I took him back in for the rest of his 6 months shots on the 28th....that was a different story! He cried as soon as we layed him down on the table, i think he knew what was coming.

The pictures i took at the clinic are on my phone, which broke while we were in spokane...so here are some picture from the 22nd...the day before his 6 month birthday!

Tacoma

Korbyn and I went to visit my Sister and Brother-in-Law in Tacoma. Its always nice to get away from prosser for a while! We left on the 12th and came back on the 16th. Kelly and Trents had to work during the day but we still had lots of fun hanging out with them afterwork and of course Korbyn had fun playing with Jackson...when he wasnt trying to lick him to death!

One of the nights we were there we went an mexican restraunt, El Toro. It was Korbyn's first time sitting in a restraunt high chair...and he LOVED IT!

Once our food came out he got tired of sitting in it and i eventually took him out out him on the bench with me. He did really good though! He even watched some baby einstein with Uncle Trent on the iPhone.

It rained the first couple days we were there so we didnt go on too many walks but Korbyn loves his carseat as well. Hes always happy to get out and go somewhere!

Children Learn What They Live

Children Learn What They Live

If a child lives with criticism, He learns to condemn.
If a child lives with hostility, He learns to fight.
If a child lives with ridicule, He learns to be shy.
If a child lives with shame, He learns to feel guilty.
If a child lives with tolerance, He learns to be patient.
If a child lives with praise, He learns to appreciate.
If a child lives with encouragement, He learns confidence.
If a child lives with fairness, He learns justice.
If a child lives with security, He learns to have faith.
If a child lives with approval, He learns to like himself.
If a child lives with acceptance and friendship, He learns to find love in the world.
I was looking online for cute "boy" sayings for Korbyn's scrap book today when i came across this poem and loved it! As a mother i want the very best and nothing less for my precious angel. My son will be raised with tolerance, praise, encouragement, fairness, security, approval, acceptance and friendship from his Mother and Family. There will be NO room for criticism, hostility, ridicule or shame in his life.

High Chair

I finally went and got Korbyn a High Chair!!! I had been using his bouncy chair, minus the toybar, as a "high chair" on top of our kitchen counter for about a month. People kept telling me to get a space-saver high chair that you can strap onto a chair or get one that attaches to the counter. I bought the space-saver one from Target and soon found out that i was gonna have a hard time finding a high chair for Korbyn! He didnt have ANY ROOM to grow in the space-saver and all of the regular high chairs didnt have much room either. I finally found one at Burlington that looked bigger then all the other ones and bought it. Korbyn has plenty of room and loves it...although he throws a fit when i try to put the tray on it. Im working on getting him used to it though because he has tried to jump out of the chair a couple of times!
