For the last week Korbyn has REFUSED to eat his baby food. I just figured it was a stage he was going through since we werent at home but he still didnt seem to interested in it when we got home tuesday. I was getting a little concerned so i looked it up on the internent and there are A LOT of posts from people with babies about 7-8 months so refuse to eat baby food! It said to try giving him food that he can use his own hands to feed himself. I went and bought him some more fruit puffs and cookies and got some yogurt bites as well. He loves them and feeds them to himself pretty good. Ill just put a few on his high chair tray and he picks them up one by one and eats them. I was expecting him to try stuffing all of them at once in his mouth but he didnt. We also made him some mashed potatoes and let him eat them off his tray. He ate about half and then just wanted to play with the rest. Hes been feeding himself his bottle and sippy cup for a while now and he is very independent so i am not suprised! He also loves eating watermelon, strawberries and otter pops inside his mesh baby-feeder.
Then this morning i noticed that all 4 of his top teeth are coming in. Im sure that probably has something to do with him not wanting to be spoon fed as well. Two of them broke through his gums and the other two are almost there so it wont be long before my baby boy has 6 teeth!!!!!!!!

Playground of Dreams
Travis came down to see Korbyn and I on his day off today. We went out for lunch with his sister, brother-in-law and niece Kali Jo and then decided to take Korbyn to the Playground of Dreams in Kennewick. I had never been there before so i wasnt sure what to expect. Korbyn had a fun time...it was pretty humid that day so we didnt stay there too long.
Korbyn has always LOVED swinging. He was always in his baby swing when he was a newborn and he has been on the swings at the park in prosser a few times so the first thing we did was take him to the swings! I think he was distracted by all the other toys cus he didnt seem to be to interested in it.
We took him around to some of the other toys and he was being so funny! He usually gets all excited and squeals and screams but he was being quiter then normal and kinda just studying and taking in everything.
He thought the tic-tac-toe board and musical toys were pretty cool. Although i think he just wanted to get them into his mouth!!
We had fun in the boat as well. He kept moving the steering wheel like he was driving...and of course he was trying to get it in his little mouth as well.
Travis took Korbyn on his first Slide!! Korbyn didnt really have a reaction to it but im sure he will love slides when he is a little older!
I had no idea that there was a little water park thing at the playground. Its super cute it has a bunch of fountains that sprays water everywhere. I will have to take Korbyn back there sometime to play in the water. Overall, Korbyn had a blast but i think he was a little too young to really enjoy all the toys just yet...but momma sure had a fun time!

Boating
Since Korbyn loved his little swimming pool so much Travis and I decided to take him to the Aquatic Center in Moses Lake. Once we got there we ended up going boating with his parents and room mate Eric.
We found a sand bar and parked the boat on it in the middle of the lake and set up and umbrella and play pen for Korbyn to play and take a nap. Well he wouldnt take a nap i think he was too excited cus he loves swimming so much!!! I took him out in the lake and he LOVED it he was all smiles and giggles.

He did take a nap on the boat when he was all wrapped up in a towel and life jacket. Im sure it was a much needed nap with all the excitement and fun he had swimming!

Baby Pool
It has been really hot here lately so i decided to see if Korbyn would like to go swimming yesterday. We put some water in his blow up duck-bathtub...
...and he absolutely HATED IT!!!
I think the problem was that he didnt have a enough room because i tried again today and he loved it. The only difference was that we put him in a regular baby pool.
My mom and I just held him up since the bottom was a little slippery but he wanted so bad to just splash and roll over that i ended up getting in the water with him.
We didnt stay in too long but he definetly had a GREAT TIME!!!

Bath Time
Korbyn LOVES taking a bath!!! Other then going for walks it is his favorite thing to do. I cant wait until i can take him swimming outside in the summer. For the last week or so he has been trying to turn over in the bath tub. I havent let him because i know he would end up putting his head down and sucking water up his nose! When he gets excited he smashes his face into the ground.

Spokane!!!!
Korbyn and I went to Spokane to see my good friends Heather & Amanda...and of course Heather's adorable son Mason! I didnt even realize it until we were on our way up there that it was Bloomsday weekend. On Saturday Amanda had to work so Heather and I decided to take the boys down to Riverfront Park. They had a bunch of tents and stuff set up for sunday and there were already a lot of people down there enjoying the nice weather.
We decided to take the boys for their first Carousel rides while we were there. Korbyn was acting nervous and trying to eat the pole until it started going and then he LOVED it!!
Korbyn did really good since we were gone pretty much the whole day at the park. Im glad he loves his stroller so much!
We went to take pictures down by the river after the carousel ride and Korbyn thought all the ducks in the water were hilarious!
Im so thankful to have such great friends that let us come stay with them whenever we want to get away from Prosser! Korbyn and Mason always have a blast together even though they are 8 months apart in age.
Korbyn always has fun playing with Mason's "big boy" toys too!
Its going to be so much fun to see them together once Korbyn starts walking...or atleast crawling.
Thanks Heather & Mason! We love you guys.

6 month Shots
Korbyn had his 6 months check-up and shots on the 24th. He did REALLY GOOD...i was very suprised. He was in a good mood the whole time we were there and then when it came down to getting his shots....he didnt even cry!!! He just flinched a little but not even one sound came out of his mouth or tear out of his eye!
He weighed 23 lbs...which is about 5 ounces less then what he was weighed at WIC 2 weeks ago (he has been rolling over a lot) and was 28 inches long. Dr. Lane said he is one of the biggest 6 month old babies he has ever seen! Thats my boy! :)
Then Grandma Lynn and I took him back in for the rest of his 6 months shots on the 28th....that was a different story! He cried as soon as we layed him down on the table, i think he knew what was coming.
The pictures i took at the clinic are on my phone, which broke while we were in spokane...so here are some picture from the 22nd...the day before his 6 month birthday!
